Our story

Our founder, Jamie Cross, founded Cross Group in 2011. He wanted to change how accounting and business advisory was done, and in the process, empower business owners to achieve their dreams.

Jamie’s vision was clear: accounting should be agile, innovative and laser-focused on delivering results.

Our team

  • Jamie Cross

    Director

    BCom, CA, CPP

    Jamie is our founder and CEO.

    He established Cross Group Services in 2011 after two decades in public practice and corporate accounting. His extensive experience with clients from diverse industries has shaped Cross Group into a truly unique advisory firm.

    More than just an accountant, Jamie was a business growth and development advisor long before it became mainstream in the accounting world. He constantly seeks inventive approaches to client challenges, ensuring we stay at the forefront of accounting solutions.

    When Jamie isn't at the office, he's on the move. As the treasurer of the Southland Mountain Bike Club, he's deeply involved in the local biking community. You'll often find him signing up for races, whether they involve a mountain bike or a punishing mountain run.

  • Kate Bunting

    Director

    BCom, CA, CPP

    Kate is our Director of Operations and the heartbeat of Cross Group.

    With over a decade of accounting experience, she joined us in 2020 and has been the driving force behind our growth and innovation. She continually updates our tech stack, ensuring our efficiency knows no bounds.

    Kate's unique blend of professionalism and humour sets the tone at Cross Group. Her one-liners keep us all laughing, and she spearheads our active office culture, organising everything from football matches to team bonding gym classes.

  • Miread Larsen

    Business Manager

    NZDipBus, AT, NZPPA CPS

    Miread is our Business Manager and jack-of-all-trades.

    She joined us in 2012 and wears many hats at Cross Group, handling HR, administration, marketing and a wide range of general duties. In 2020, Miread earned her Accounting Technician certification, showcasing her commitment to growth and development.

    Miread is also deeply involved in our community serving as a committee member and junior co-ordinator for Queen's Park AFC. During the winter months, you'll find her on the football sidelines, cheering for her children and husband.

  • Kimberley Stanley

    Administrator

    Kimberley is the friendly face you’ll find in the Christchurch office, having joined Cross Group in October 2024 as our admin extraordinaire. When she’s not keeping things running smoothly at the office, you’ll likely find her enjoying her hobbies, which include cars, car shows, reading, and exploring New Zealand’s stunning landscapes.

    At home, Kimberley shares her space with two monster cats, Tippy and Lilith, who no doubt keep her on her toes! She knows how to unwind after a busy day — usually by soaking up some sunshine with a refreshing drink and a good book in hand.

    Her unique background includes running an automotive workshop for seven years, so she brings a wealth of experience across different industries to the team.

    Kimberley’s hands-on experience and can-do attitude make her a valuable asset. She’s especially excited to meet all the new faces at Cross Group and is looking forward to learning even more along the way.

  • Mary Betham

    Administrator

    BCom, ProvCA

    Mary is our friendly and positive administrator here at Cross Group. With an accounting degree and experience as a lending consultant, Mary brings a wealth of knowledge to her role.

    When she’s not helping keep things running smoothly at the office, you’ll usually find her hitting the gym or enjoying quality time with her family.

    Mary loves unwinding with a cup of tea, a biscuit, and catching up on her favourite TV shows.

    She’s excited to be part of a team that values work-life balance and supports each other like a family. With her upbeat attitude and open mindset, Mary is always ready to contribute and learn as she grows with us.

  • Amanda Long

    Chartered Accountant

    CA, CPP

    Amanda joined Cross Group in 2024 and is based in our Christchurch branch. Amanda holds a Public Practicing Certificate with New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

    Her client base covered a wide range of industries including farming, manufacturing and service industries.

    She enjoys dealing personally with clients and overseeing the growth of their businesses.

    Cross Group is extremely fortunate to have her invaluable experience in the team.

    She is married with 3 children and enjoys playing and coaching indoor and outdoor netball as well as supporting her children's sporting activities.

  • Amy Miller

    Accountant

    NZ DipBus, AT, Certified Bookkeeper

    Amy is our all-rounder Intermediate Accountant. With a knack for completing GST returns, preparing annual accounts, and ensuring accounting compliance, Amy plays a vital role in our team.

    She brings youthful energy and an old soul's wisdom to the table. Amy is not just about numbers; she's a pro at connecting with clients.

    When she's not working, Amy enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and quality time with friends and family, including their adorable Jack Russell, Stella.

  • Andy Ding

    Chartered Accountant

    BCom, CA

    Andy is our Christchurch-based Senior Accountant. With over seven years of experience and a Chartered Accountant designation, he's a true financial expert. But Andy's not your typical number cruncher; he brings humour and charisma to the team.

    Andy's secret to success is top-notch time management and expertise in agriculture and portfolio investment.

    When he's not balancing the books, Andy dives into crime and detective novels.

  • Jackie Lee

    Accountant

    Jackie joined Cross Group in 2024 and is based in our Christchurch branch.

    Jackie migrated to New Zealand in 2006. She is an Affiliate Member of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (England).

    Back in Malaysia, Jackie worked as Auditor in the banking sector. She also has been working in a Chartered Accounting firm in New Zealand since 2011.

    She enjoys working closely with clients to deliver accurate financial reporting to improve their business performance. 

  • Ludi Belingher

    Accountant

    NZDipBus, AT

    Ludi joined Cross Group in January 2025 and is based in our Christchurch branch. With a Diploma in Accounting (NZ), a NZ Diploma in Business, and AT (CAANZ registered), and over 15 years of experience, Ludi brings a wealth of experience to the team.

    Ludi is married with two children. Outside of work, Ludi enjoys reading, music, and dance, and loves to unwind by spending time with family and friends, reading, and walking.

  • Melissa Conti

    Graduate Accountant

    BCom

    Melissa joined Cross Group in January 2025 and brings a fresh perspective to the team with her background in admin, banking, and customer service. With a BCom in Accounting, she's excited to develop her skills and become an experienced accountant.

    When she’s not diving into accounting, Melissa loves spending time with her hubby and two kids. Whether it’s supporting her daughter’s activities or taking mini road trips to Bluff or Riverton for some epic hot chips, family time is always a priority. She's also a podcast enthusiast, with a soft spot for true crime and storytelling.

    After high school, Melissa wasn’t quite sure what to study but gave accounting a try—and she's never looked back. Now, she’s keen to grow and learn with the Cross Group team!
